Domestic violence is a growing concern across Australia. Workplaces can play a pivotal role in providing support and safety to those at risk.

This workshop helps participants build their awareness about domestic and family violence. They will learn how to recognise people that may be at risk and have an appropriate conversation with them.

What this workshop covers

During this course, participants will learn:

  • what family and domestic violence is
  • how to recognise different types of family and domestic abuse
  • common attitudes and beliefs about family and domestic abuse
  • how to recognise the signs and symptoms of an employee who may be experiencing family and domestic violence
  • how to have an appropriate and safe conversation with someone at risk
  • what support and resources are available
  • tips for building a supportive workplace.
