Grief and Loss for Animal Care Workers

Learn how to manage grief after the loss of an animal.

Course Overview

Experiencing grief after losing an animal close to you is natural and normal. People develop unique relationships with animals and their death can cause pain that is difficult to describe. It can be challenging when others don’t seem to understand the significance.

Feelings of grief can vary from mild to severe, impacting a person’s level of emotional control, ability to concentrate at work, physical health and relationships with others.

In this workshop, participants will learn more about grief and how it affects people differently. Strategies that can help will be shared and discussed.
